The grate and base are integrated into a single unit, provided with a slot component for the easy cleaning and clearing of blockages. The access unit features a knockout section at either side of the channel for 90° connections, alongside a 110mm diameter knockout vertical connection.
Best installed at around five-metre increments to let drain rods and unblockers navigate and maintain the drainage system, this access unit is part of the MonoDrain one-piece system. Quicker to install than separate grate and base drains, MonoDrain combines bases and grates for safe and effective surface water drainage. Gratings are harder to move under the weight of traffic and less likely to get stolen, dislodged or loosened.
Designed to last in D400 load class areas, including car and HGV parks, light-duty landscaping and pedestrian areas, town centres and other commercial developments, MonoDrain's durable and strong ACO-made recycled polymer Vienite concrete structure is reliable. External faces on the base fulfil secure bedding into concrete, and the 8mm Heelguard grates avoid debris access and lessen the danger of falling.
MonoDrain simplifies the specification process and installation to reduce time spent on site. The products complement applications perfectly. The 500mm channel units come in four constant depths of 185mm to 305mm and one shallow constant depth of 135mm.
