The 'Mech 416' range is Hargreaves Foundry's highly reliable and robust fit-and-forget cast iron soil pipe system. Offering a strong alternative to traditional soil systems in challenging industrial and commercial settings, this modern system provides a comprehensive platform for projects. The simple and reliable coupling design makes the system ideal for repair, retrofitting and extension projects. Utilising tough and naturally resilient cast iron, correctly installed pipes and fittings can last more than 100 years with minimal maintenance. This unit is a 100mm coupling with continuity built-in, securing using an easy-to-use screw setup.

Mech 416 soil provides a mechanically jointed range of socketless cast iron pipes and fittings, ranging from 50mm to 150mm diameters and suitable for above-ground soil and waste installations. The system is manufactured to meet the standards of BS 416 Part 2 and is finished in a matt black two-part epoxy coating. Generally, mechanically jointed systems provide all the benefits of a conventional BS416 socket and spigot system but also offer significant labour savings due to the efficient jointing techniques employed.
