Cast iron is sustainable which means that after providing for the needs of your building for its lifetime, this double boss is completely recyclable, so it doesn't have to be downcycled. When correctly installed as part of your cast iron system, it can last more than 100 years with minimal maintenance requirements. Made to BS416 part 2 standards, this Traditional Express double boss is supplied pre-painted in a specially developed black gloss coating so it's ready to fit, ensuring extra time savings on site.
As part of the modern cast iron system, this double boss imitates the appearance of a caulked lead jointed system, delivering the heritage aesthetic of traditional LCC soil systems. Perfect for conservation projects and listed properties, it is suitable for a wide variety of applications including community and government buildings, new build and restoration contracts, luxury housing and quality domestic properties and traditional heritage projects.
Traditional Express uses push-fit sockets equipped with rubber sealing gaskets to connect 100mm socketless pipes and fittings. The push-fit method offers considerable savings in labour for each joint. Complete installation instructions can be supplied, and no specialist training is needed.
