Harmer has ensured their SML range Cast Iron Underground Drainpipe Long Radius Access Bend is built to last. Designed for dry-jointed pipework systems below-ground, it allows the system to fit around certain corners thanks to the 88-degree curve design. As part of a complete system, it will also allow for direct connection from soil to drain to sewer under SFA.
Easy to handle, this SML bend is lightweight, measuring 100mm long. An epoxy coat is on its exterior and interior with a minimum thickness of 60µm, furthering its usage capability below ground as part of a comprehensive system. It is hassle-free to install with twin screw couplings, and you can choose between ductile iron or stainless-steel couplings, depending on your requirements. You don't have to use special installation equipment, which helps minimise the cost spent on fitting it into your system. Thanks to its cast iron construction, the system is long-lasting and recyclable after use. It also requires little maintenance but is quick and straightforward to reassemble if the need arises.
The design of this bend also has excellent noise attenuation tested to BS EN 14366:2004 standards. Also, with high tensile strength, the cast iron construction ensures resistance to external accidental damage and vandalism. Its non-combustible capabilities mean fire protection collars are not a necessity. For quality assurance, it is manufactured and tested according to European Standard BS EN 877 under Construction Products Regulation 2013. Other compliance measures include BBA Agrément certification, Kitemarking and CE Mark conformity, ensuring that the system has been used for over 30 years in Europe.
