Find out moreThis SML Cast Iron Underground Drain Pipe Inspection Chamber by Harmer works perfectly with underground drainage. Designed to enable easy access for maintenance and cleaning, it is beneficial for dry-jointed pipework systems below-ground, allowing for direct connection from soil to drain to the sewer under SFA. You can also install the system as part of rainwater installations when used in conjunction with Harmer Roof Outlets.
Lightweight with a 150mm pipe diameter, you can handle this section easily and install it quickly with twin screw couplings. You can opt for either ductile iron or stainless-steel couplings, depending on your requirements. Special installation equipment is not necessary, which can help minimise costs spent on fitting the chamber into your system. Importantly, cast iron is not only a long-term solution but also a recyclable one. It also requires little maintenance but is swift to reassemble if replacements are needed.
This Cast Iron Inspection Chamber is manufactured and tested according to European Standard BS EN 877 under Construction Products Regulation 2013 for quality assurance. Compliant qualities include BBA Agrément certification, Kitemarking, and CE Mark conformity, ensuring the system has over thirty years of use across Europe. It also has excellent noise attenuation tested to BS EN 14366:2004 standards. Cast iron also has high tensile strength, improving its resistance to external accidental damage and vandalism. Due to its non-combustible capabilities, this inspection chamber does not require a fire protection collar.
