Description

Ideal for highways, carriageways, industrial areas and existing projects needing replacement covers, this Clark Drain Cast Iron High Max Manhole Cover and Frame has a loading class of D400 and is capable of withstanding 44-tonne test loads. The double-triangular cover and frame with solid flange are crafted from durable high-grade ductile iron, finished with a black bitumen coating.

With a non-rock three-point suspension and oversized cover corners, the frame directs the loading stresses for the best-case frame and bedding interaction. The shape of the 75mm wide solid flange is enhanced, improving the area where the load is concentrated, and the flared frame aids in the transfer of dynamic loads around the corners to alleviate stress and pressure on the bedding.

To help with lifting, the non-slip safety keyholes can be used with long-handle lifting keys, CD 552L lifting keys, as well as similar mechanical lifting devices that support safe manual handling.
