Ensure your outdoor buildings and garden structures are supported by a strong and durable foundation with the affordable and easy-to-install Fastfit Shed Base Kit for Garden Buildings from EcoBase. As well as providing a sturdy surface upon which to install all manner of garden buildings, such as playhouses, sheds, log stores, summerhouses and more, its ingenious grid design also ensures superb drainage capabilities that allow rainwater to drain through the cavities and keep the floor bearers dry and well ventilated.
An environmentally friendly alternative to paving flags or wet-mix concrete, made from 100% recycled plastics, the lightweight Fastfit Shed Base Kit can be installed by anyone, from experts to DIY novices. Its integral T-shaped self-fastening connectors snap the grids together with minimal effort, without the need for specialist tools. Also included with the kit is a weed-resistant membrane to stop weeds from growing under your building.
If installing on top of your lawn without removing the grass, cut your grass short and add a cover with a good layer of builders' sand. For a flat, stable finish, use a wooden plank to smooth over the surface. If you wish to remove the turf before installing your Fastfit base, remove a 50mm deep layer of turf and then rake the exposed area level, removing any large or sharp stones. If required, also add a thin layer of builders' sand.
