Find out moreEcoGrid is made from bags and bottles that would normally be sent to landfill. Our manufacturing plant is an in-house facility in Arzberg, Germany which means that we are entirely self-sufficient, our products produced are done so at a zero carbon footprint and when installed have a zero effect on the environment.
Ecogrid is a product that reinforces the ground, allowing all types of traffic from pedestrians to heavy vehicles. The grids are 330mm x 330mm and have a patented locking mechanism, securing one grid to the next. They arrive on a pallet in rows of 12 grids or 1.33 square metres, pre-locked together making fitting swift and simple.
EcoGrid carries a World patent for its locking system, developed over 21 years of production meaning that when laid the grid will keep together and remain stable.
E40 is our most versatile grid and can be used for patios, driveways, carparks, additional parking spaces, shed bases, caravan parking, equine areas, construction sites for walkways and portable building bases, event parking on grass, tree root protection, green walls, embankment support and erosion control to name a few!
When correctly installed Ecogrid carries a 20 year warranty so you can be sure you are getting a product extremely well suited for its purpose.
Please note: Each tile is 33x33cm so 9 tiles per m2
Question:
Will this work if it is dug into the ground, making it flush with the surface, and the lawn then seeded around it?
Answer:
Yes it can be used in this way. It's always best if some compacted stone/soil mix is laid to make the area level and firm but the ground can just be scraped back and grid laid no problems.
Question:
Can I use this on top of an existing grass lawn? without digging?
Answer:
Yes this can.
Question:
What type of gravel is recommended for these grids being installed in a car park?
Answer:
I have spoken to ECOGrid, and they recommend a sharp angular stone with a 15-25mm thickness.
Question:
What is the gravel quantity per m2?
Answer:
1 Tonne of gravel would cover 13 square metres. With this in mind, 77kg would be sufficient to cover one square metre.
