This junction is part of the Funke HS Gravity range. It's a durable alternative to clay and concrete adoptable pipe systems and is manufactured with a solid wall to ensure a robust, high-performing section of piping. Even with such a durable structure, this junction is easy to handle and transport, thanks to being lightweight. This, in turn, minimise Health and Safety Concerns compared to traditional pipe alternatives. It also means machinery and plant equipment are less likely to be needed to move it around when on site.
Funke HS have ensured the junction is suitable for use by councils for inspection chambers, as well as approved for use by all main water companies in the UK, including Wessex Water, Southern Water, Anglian Water and Severn Trent to name a few. The dark brown colour can also fit right in with the surroundings.
Another feature of the HS® range is that the pipe has been expertly pressure-tested to 2.5 bar, meaning it can be installed in high water-table locations with ease. The design of this junction also includes a plain-ended finish, chamfered spigots and an innovative ridge for an audible 'click' sound. This sound indicates when a connection is secure.
