This Continuous GRP Dry Soaker from Filon is ideal for use on all kinds of pitched roofs with tiles or slates where a roof abuts an adjoining wall. This L-shaped flashing produces a hidden gutter against the wall with a sanded bar, onto which slates or tiles can be bedded. Manufactured from shatter-resistant, incredibly tough Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP), this continuous dry soaker has superior surface protection which enhances its ability to withstand adverse weather conditions, making it an excellent alternative to lead.
With exceptional fire resistance meeting BS476 "Fire Tests" Parts 3 and 7, this dry soaker is unaffected by thermal movement. It also features built-in UV light stabilisers that help to prevent it from becoming brittle in cold and hot weather conditions. Lightweight, malleable and easy to use, cut and fix, the soaker doesn't require any special equipment, making installation a breeze. The built-in mortar grips ensure a great mortar bond between the tile and the valley.
The opaque grey finish gives the appearance of traditional lead materials; but unlike lead, it has no salvage value, which makes it less prone to theft. With natural resilience and robustness, this soaker is maintenance-free and has exceptional durability lasting more than 30 years.
