The cast iron rectangular earband is manufactured to the BS460 standard. By choosing cast iron, you're deciding to use a sustainable and durable material that can withstand a variety of factors. Sustainability means it can be fully recycled after its lifetime use and not 'downcycled' like other materials. For resistance, it is highly resistant to distortion caused by accident or vandalism. The cast iron can also withstand the weight of ladders, storms and heavy snow. With potential longevity lasting over 100 years if installed and maintained correctly. Though maintenance is minimal, occasional painting is required approximately every 10 years.
The system is also quiet when operating. Low noise levels are thanks to the sound of deadening properties of cast iron and they won't rattle in high winds.
