Made from durable cast iron, it naturally withstands accidental external damage and vandalism while being completely recyclable after use.
With secure connections formed by ductile and stainless steel twin screw couplings and socketless fixing between pipes and fittings, system assembly is effortless and free of specialised installation equipment. The complete soil and waste pipework system provides 3m long pipes with diameters between 50mm and 400mm, designed to accommodate pipework connections to stack to underground sewer connections, as well as rainwater installations alongside Harmer Roof Outlets.
Whereas couplings are made from stainless steel and ductile cast iron, pipes and fittings are formed using grey iron to DIN 1691 (surpassing BS 1452 Grade 150 ISO 185 Grade 15). Fittings include epoxy coatings (minimum thickness of 60 µm) on the inside and the outside, lowering maintenance during use. Pipes also have interiors lined with epoxy coatings (with a minimum thickness of 120 µm), while their exteriors are coated in primer (with a minimum thickness of 40 µm).
Cutting-edge cast iron technology, Harmer SML includes BBA and Kitemark certification, CE Mark conformity and compliance with BS EN 877 standards. A high tensile strength system, it is also non-combustible, eliminating the need for fire protection collars.
