With an innate resistance to accidental external damage and vandalism, the cast iron components can be recycled, making for a sustainable choice.
Pipes are equipped with epoxy-coated interiors (minimum 120 µm thickness) and exteriors lined in primer (minimum thickness of 40 µm) whereas fittings are coated with epoxy both on the inside and outside (minimum thickness of 60 µm), working to limit the maintenance needs once installed. Both pipes and fittings are made from grey iron to DIN 1691 (exceeding BS 1452 Grade 150 and ISO 185 Grade 15).
Harmer SML creates reliable, secure connections without specialist installation equipment due to the socketless fixing of pipes and fittings. The twin screw couplings also allow quick assembly, made from stainless steel and ductile cast iron. Complete soil and waste pipework systems are compatible with various installations, from pipework connections to stack to underground sewer connections, and rainwater installations with the use of Harmer Roof Outlets. Pipes are available in 3m lengths and diameters between 50mm and 400mm.
Harmer SML is at the leading edge of cast iron technology. It is BBA and Kitemark certified, adhering to CE Mark and BS EN 877 standards. Non-combustible, the system offers high tensile strength and negates the use of fire protection collars.
