Description

This classical cast iron downpipe is ideal for the vertical discharge of rainwater or runoff water from a building into the drainage network below ground. Available in a range of diameters, this downpipe has ears that allow the pipe to be attached to your building structure using fixing screws or pipe nails.

Coated with black water-based primer to an average thickness of 70 microns this downpipe is pre-painted in high-performance semi-gloss black paint. This robust downpipe has fire-resistant and noise dampening qualities with minimal maintenance required if installed correctly due to high resistance to shocks and crushing. With the aesthetic charm of cast iron, this downpipe enhances and retains the traditional character of your building and is naturally durable for up to 100 years. Made from 97% of recycled content, this cast iron downpipe is infinitely recyclable at the end of its long life and can easily be integrated into existing rainwater systems.

  • Painted to a Plus finish (Black Semi-Gloss) to RAL 9005 700

  • High resistance to impact (vandalism and accidental)
  • Minimal maintenance requirements if installed correctly with little structural maintenance throughout with only periodical painting approximately every 5 years or longer (depending on climatic conditions and location)

  • Fire resistant with an A1 fire rating
  • Strong and withstanding of high winds and heavy snow
  • Available in a range of diameters

This adaptable downpipe is suitable for a variety of applications including traditional and listed properties, ecclesiastical buildings such as churches, homes of high quality and appearance, barn conversions and farm buildings, public houses, railway buildings, self-build homes of character, properties in conservation areas, pre-1960s homes for refurbishment, inner-city buildings and sport/recreation buildings.
