Find out moreThe Marsh Ensign Domestic Sewage Treatment Plant is a highly efficient and environmentally friendly solution for sewage treatment, specifically designed to operate through gravity rather than pumps. This gravity-based system, available in a wide range of sizes, offers cost savings and requires fewer mechanical components, minimising the potential for breakdowns.
When installed correctly, it operates near-silently and is virtually odourless, providing a pleasant environment. Its discreet design seamlessly integrates into the surroundings leaving no unsightly mounds in the ground.
For proper placement, it is recommended to position the Ensign Domestic Sewage Treatment Plant at a minimum distance of seven meters from a dwelling or ten meters from a stream. The unit includes lifting eyes for safe and efficient unloading, and it self-levels on the base, simplifying installation.
With innovative pipe connections, installation is both efficient and cost-effective, catering to various property sizes. The Ensign range treats final effluent to British and European Standards (EN12566:3-2005), allowing for discharge back into the watercourse while meeting national consent standards. Manufactured using 100% virgin resin, without chalk fillers, the Ensign plant prioritizes sustainability.
Question:
Do you do extensions for the top so that it can be put lower in the ground but still have ground level top
Answer:
We can offer both retro fit risers and factory fitted risers for the marsh tanks.
Question:
does this conform to new 2020 regulations
Answer:
This tank is not suitable for domestic use due to the capacity. The minimum size Marsh tank that meets all domestic regulations is the 6 person tank.
Question:
How many litres does this tank hold?
Answer:
Sewage treatment plants dont hold, they discharge, so provided you dont exceed the population stated then it will just keep discharging the water to the soakaway.
Question:
is the 4 person ensign treatment plant suitable for a 3 bedroom cottage with 2 people?
Answer:
Tanks are measured on capacity so if a family moved into this house you would need to size for maximum occupancy, in this case a 6 person tank would be suitable.
