Description

This Shire overlap bike store has wall panels made from high-quality FSC-certified timber and a roof made from solid sheet OSB board. The wall panels have also been preserved with a base coat preservative, ensuring the shed is ready for you to top coat after assembly. Unlike other sheds, the design of this bike store does not include a floor. This allows water and dirt to drain from your wet bikes. As a wooden store by shire, it also features strong 34mm square framing and is provided with a fixing kit to ease installation.

Base note:
Please ensure that your base is flat, level and square whether this is on bearers, a concrete base or a paving slab. This ensures the building is level, stable and avoids excess strain on the panels. If strained, this could lead to twisting/long-term damage. The building staying level also ensures the panels will fit neatly together, preventing gaps and ensuring the doors close correctly.
Timber note:
Good quality timber garden buildings start with quality timber. P Pine is the most commonly used timber for garden buildings. Shire buildings are constructed using high-quality spruce under strict FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and offers a higher-quality finish. The timber is slow grown which means a tighter grain, less sap and far less warping and knots occurring. In some circumstances, 'shakes' or slight splits may appear in the timber. These are normal and will not impact the performance of your garden building.
