Description

Featuring sturdy 34mm square framing and six fixed windows down one side, this 6ft x 12ft Overlap Apex Shed from Shire provides ample light for the inside of the building. The abundance of eaves height and double doors enable easy access to the entire space.

The non-opening windows include safety glazing and can be fitted on either side while the wide double doors in the 6ft gable are equipped with a hasp and staple catch, ready for you to add your own padlock for extra security. The wall panels are made from FSC Certified, high-grade, slow-grown timber while both the floor and roof are manufactured from solid sheet OSB. The building is dip treated with a base layer, ready for a top coating after construction. With everything you might require for a complete installation, this Shire shed comes with roofing felt, instructions and a fixing kit.

Please note:

  • The imperial measurements are approximate to the nearest foot so please refer to the metric sizes for accuracy. Allowance should be made for the roof overhang and for access around the outside during assembly and subsequent treatment. After your order, you will be sent a link to choose your delivery day and, on the morning of, you will also receive live tracking information.
  • Base note:
  • Please ensure that your base is flat, level and square whether this is a concrete base, paving slab or on bearers. This ensures the building is stable and level and deters excess strain on the panels that could lead to twisting/long-term damage. The building staying level also means the panels will fit neatly together, preventing gaps and ensuring the doors shut correctly.
  • Timber note:
  • A good quality timber garden building starts with quality timber. The most commonly used timber for garden buildings is pine. Shire buildings are constructed using high-quality spruce under strict Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and delivers a higher-quality finish. The timber is slow grown which means a tighter grain, far less knots and warping occurring and less sap. In some circumstances, slight splits or 'shakes' may be seen in the timber. These are normal and will not impact the performance of your garden building.
  • Delivery is restricted to mainland England and Wales. If you are unsure whether your postcode is excluded, please call us to confirm.
