Description

The Silt Guard Range from Turtle Enviro has been designed for the catchment and removal of silt and debris from the run off from impermeable and hard standing surface areas, such as: roofs, path and driveways, patios, car parks, roads and highways. Installation of a Silt Guard as part of a SuDS design, will provide effective primary treatment for the surface water run-off, improving water quality downstream and in turn, helping prevent flooding.

The Silt Guard 500 Series is designed for installation upstream of medium to large volume, cellular/crate - attenuation systems, ponds, swales and irrigation systems.

  • Pipe Connections: Two 160mm spigots or two 225mm Twinwall rocker pipes

The chamber which is manufactured in the UK and delivered to site as a complete single piece unit is lightweight making it quick and easy to install. It has a robust rota-moulded chamber with two 160mm EN 1401 pipe spigot connections which can be removed to reveal sockets which accept 225mm Twinwall. The invert depth can be increased by adding risers.

Please note:

  • An A15 Circular Access Cover is supplied as standard. A Silt Guard 300 Series is also available which has a smaller chamber and 110mm pipe connections.

Silt Sentinel 300 and 500 series. Can you advise the water flow capacity in litres per second

Answer:

 

In these products the flow capacity is not really relevant, as the product is designed to trap the normal flow from the respective incoming pipework. These units are designed and extensively used as silt traps and the calculation that you are asking for, is more in lending for Oil/Petrol or larger Hydrodynamic Silt Separators.
